Business + Entrepreneurship Minor
Introduction
12 Units
The Business and Entrepreneurship minor equips students with the mindset, tools, and experience to transform creative ideas into real-world impact. Built for artists and designers who want to launch their own projects, studios, products, or platforms, this four-course sequence blends studio-based exploration, case-driven analysis, and a hands-on capstone experience. Throughout the program, artificial intelligence will be a central theme—both as a creative tool and as a driver of change in business models, collaboration, and the future of work.
Students begin by learning how to identify meaningful problems through design thinking, research, and creative inquiry. They then explore how to design viable business models, navigate legal and collaborative frameworks, and understand emerging economic systems that support sustainable creative practice. In the final capstone course, students bring their ideas to life—developing, testing, and pitching a go-to-market strategy for a creative venture.
