ACTION SPORTS DESIGN
15 Unit Minor
The Action Sports Minor at LCAD is embedded in the Graphic Design + Digital Media program and within 5 courses or 15 units, students dive into industry collaborations, internships and dynamic projects.
Students combine their passion for surf, skate, snow, bmx with a diverse creative skillset across motion, video, packaging, textile, product, brand. In studio Design projects support creative expression across products, apparel, UI, Brand and textiles. direct access to industry expertise through curated partnerships with leading action sports brands, offer an unparalleled educational experience that combines practical skills, business acumen, and cultural understanding of the action sports marketplace.

A minor in Action Sports prepares students for diverse career paths including apparel, cmf, packaging, product, brand, environmental graphics, visual merchandising and content creation, all within the action sports and lifestyle sectors. Through the integration of learned creative skills and gained industry knowledge LCAD graduates can work combining their passion with purpose in a dynamic industry.

LCAD Alumna and Faculty Member, Amber Miller
LCAD Graphic Design + Digital Media (Action Sports emphasis) alumna and faculty member Amber Miller is Lead Designer for Nike Basketball—WNBA/NBA Uniform + Apparel Graphic Design, creating uniforms worn by elite athletes worldwide. An industry partnership class at LCAD connected her with Nike, leading to a summer internship at Nike Headquarters and her career designing NBA and WNBA uniforms. Now she brings that work full circle in the classroom, giving students real-time insight from someone still shaping the industry.
