Introduction

15 Units

The Animation Minor at LCAD is a comprehensive 15-unit program designed to expand students’ creative horizons and career opportunities through mastery of animation fundamentals. Students can choose from two curricular tracks, Character Animation and Experimental Animation. This minor provides a well-rounded foundation in multiple animation mediums, from traditional hand-drawn techniques, 3D computer-generated animation or experimental approaches; preparing students for diverse roles in the entertainment industry.
