Description

Our academically trained faculty guide students through the art of portrait painting, focusing on accurate proportion, anatomy, and likeness while encouraging each artist’s unique style. Students will learn techniques for rendering expressive features, naturalistic skin tones, and compelling compositions from photographic references. Individualized instruction supports growth at every skill level, allowing students to progress at their own pace. In class demonstrations will be presented in oil paint, but participants are welcome to work in the painting medium of their choice. Students furnish their own supplies and may bring what they typically use to class.
