The Game Minor at LCAD is a comprehensive 15-unit program consisting of five specialized courses designed for students passionate about the gaming industry. This minor offers two distinct career-focused tracks, the Game Art track and Game Design track; allowing students to tailor their education to their specific interests and career.
The Game Art Track is designed to train students to become skilled game artists, with a focus on traditional and digital art skills. Students can specialize in areas like environment design, character design, concept art, and VFX, while developing expertise in industry-standard tools.
The Game Design Track prepares students to innovate and create compelling interactive experiences. Students will gain expertise in mechanics and systems design, user experience, level design, and technical scripting, with an emphasis on creating player-centered gameplay.
