Students Receiving MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS
At LCAD, most students benefit from an institutional grant called a Merit Scholarship. This award spans students’ complete four-year degree program. To maintain their merit and other institutional scholarships, students must uphold a minimum GPA, maintain their enrollment status, and maintain academic good standing. Programs
Since its founding in 1961, Laguna College of Art + Design grew to offer eight undergraduate programs, two graduate programs, and 13 minors. The rigorous programs are taught by top industry professionals in small classrooms, preparing students for impactful creative careers.
Leadership
LCAD is under the leadership of the fourteenth College President, Steven J. Brittan. During his leadership, LCAD has become one of the leading colleges of art and design in the country, with top national rankings in Game, Design and Digital Media, Animation, and Fine Arts.

Laguna College of Art + Design is nestled in the heart of the creative industry, only a short car ride from world famous attractions like Disneyland, and headquarters of top arts, animation, entertainment, gaming, and action sports brands alike. LCAD’s campus spans across Laguna Canyon Road, surrounded by beautiful hills and only moments away from the breathtaking coast of Laguna Beach.
