The Story
Josh Steadman, LCAD Entertainment Design faculty, talks about his upbringing, going from nothing and pursuing a creative career despite all odds. He explains his teaching style and strategy, and how important it is to prepare LCAD students for jobs and promotions in the industry. Steadman is a theme park designer and Creative Director for Paradox Studios for Six Flags.
He spent over 24 years as a Set Designer, Art Director, Creative Director, Show Designer, and Illustrator working in TV, theatre, and theme park design/build. He’s worked with numerous clients, including Shanghai Disneyland, Marvel Avengers, S.T.A.T.I.O.N. in Las Vegas and Singapore, Cartoon Network’s the Wave Cruise Ship, Evermore Park in Pleasant Grove as Director of Show Design and Production, Creative Director on Genting Skyworlds and as a ride designer/illustrator on Warner Brothers Park – Abu Dhabi.
