Renowned artist ThankYouX joins LCAD’s Board of Governors

Laguna College of Art + Design (LCAD) announces Ryan Wilson, also known as ThankYouX, as the newest member of its Board of Governors.

Wilson will bring his expertise to the Board of Governors, working alongside other industry leaders to provide strategic guidance to LCAD’s Office of the President.

A Southern California–based artist, Wilson began his career in 2009 as an acclaimed yet anonymous street artist. Over the past fifteen years, his work has evolved to explore geometric forms, pixels, and layered abstraction, earning international recognition.

In 2020, Wilson expanded into digital blockchain-based art, becoming a leading figure in bridging traditional and Web3 practices. His career highlights include the solo exhibition Inertia at Sotheby’s Los Angeles gallery, collaborations with composer Hans Zimmer, inclusion in institutions such as The Museum of the Future in Dubai and The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, and partnerships with major auction houses as both an artist and curator.

His solo project State of The Art innovatively blends physical and digital art, further pushing creative boundaries. Wilson’s upcoming projects in 2025 include a digital installation in London and a solo exhibition in Paris.
