Experimental Animation Showcase
Leading up to commencement week, Experimental Animation graduates got the chance to showcase their thesis work on the large screen of the Rivian Theatre.

LCAD’s annual Experimental Animation Showcase, “The Final E.X.A.M.,” was at the Rivian Theater in Laguna Beach this year. The showcase is a display of LCAD Experimental Animation students’ body of work, where they explore a variety of mediums, including stop motion, CG techniques, and 2-D puppetry.

Laguna College of Art + Design Animation seniors play their final films on the big screen at the Rivian Theatre in Laguna Beach.

This year, LAFF was held at the Rivian Theater in downtown Laguna Beach, where Animation students showcased work from their educational journeys through the BFA Animation program. This included early animation exercises displaying the principles of animation, short character animations expressing dialogue, all leading up to the Senior class’ final thesis films.
