Working in the style of Imaginative Realism, Cody Jimenez constructs vivid and imagined universes. In these worlds, emotions take physical form, radiating vibrant colors into their surroundings. With animals, humans, and narrative composition, Jimenez delves into the dualities of beauty and danger, offering a deeply personal exploration of his own life experiences. Originally from New Mexico, Jimenez earned his MFA from the Laguna College of Art and Design in 2017. Now in Fullerton, he works on paintings and drawings in his home studio. His current obsession is painting on guitars. Jimenez is an instructor and graduate mentor for LCAD. His work has been exhibited internationally, including Los Angeles, CA; Denver, CO; Baton Rouge, LA; Santa Fe, NM; Dublin, Ireland; Amsterdam, Netherlands; and London, England.
