Talia Ceravolo is an oil painter, songwriter and MFA graduate. She spent the last three years completing her MFA in Painting from the University of Miami, while experiencing the vibrant art scene of Miami, FL. Born and Raised in San Diego, CA she received her BA in Studio Arts from San Diego State University. Her work embraces a feminist perspective of figurative oil painting drawing from her inspirations of nature and using a strong direct eye contact to challenge the male gaze. For her most recent body of work, Talia created a series of organically shaped canvases as a way to move beyond the traditional boundaries of oil painting. Talia currently resides in the Los Angeles area where she continues painting and teaches drawing at CSU Long Beach and Laguna College of Art and Design.
