Bio:

My name is Bobby Hernandez and I am a working professional in the entertainment industry as well as a teacher. I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and moved out to Southern California to pursue a life in the entertainment industry, specifically games, film and animation.

I attended Laguna College of Art and Design and received my BFA in Animation in 2009. Since then, I have been a working professional. I have worked for a variety of studios including Obsidian Entertainment, Warner Bros., Hasbro, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, among many others. I also have had the opportunity to teach at the college level since 2012. Teaching at the Laguna College of Art and Design, I have taught classes including Digital Painting, Character Design, Vehicle Design and Background Painting. Since then, I have had the opportunity to see alot of my previous students join the Games and Animation industry successfully, which is an honor.

Today, I continue to push and learn as much as I can in my field. I work full time as a Lead Concept Artist at Obsidian Entertainment, I freelance in the animation industry when time permits and continue to teach. Teaching has been my biggest reward. It is both an honor and a privilege to not only share knowledge and what I have learned in my own path with students, but to see them grow professionally and to go on and make a life for themselves, working and contributing to the industry that they love. I hope to continue teach into the future, even beyond my career.
