The Dennis and Leslie Power Library has a collection of over 20,000 volumes; 82 wide-ranging periodical subscriptions; over 2,000 videotapes and DVDs, including the Gnomon Workshop tutorial series; art exhibition catalogs; a special collection of rare and out-of-print books; and the historical archives of the college documenting its history over the past fifty years. In addition, the library also provides access to several art-related electronic databases and journals, including ARTstor, Art Source (EBSCO), Visible Body, Ask Art (Academic Edition) and Colourbox. Other online resources include lynda.com, OmniFile Full Text (EBSCO), the EBSCO ebook Academic Collection and Pronunciator. Our online catalog indexes the titles, authors and subjects of the cataloged items in the library.
Circulation policies and privileges
Who can check out books from the library?
Current LCAD students, faculty, staff and alumni in good standing (who do not owe the library more than $5.00 in late fee fines).
Members of the local community and other non-affiliated individuals may use the library and its materials during open hours but do not have circulation privileges.
How do I obtain library circulation privileges?
Fill out a registration form at the circulation desk and show your current LCAD ID.
How long do materials circulate?

- Materials that do not circulate include: reference books, current periodicals and special collections materials.

Student Textbook Co-Op
The library provides students with a space where they can buy and sell used textbooks to and from each other. This space is located at the end of the N classification shelves in the central part of the library.

The LCAD Library offers workshops in the following subjects: general library instruction; using lynda.com, ARTstor, Visible Body and other electronic resources; research topics such as using online databases and how to cite your sources.
