Tuesday, March 27 from 3-4pm -- Pop-up Libraryat Big Bend! Bring your LCAD ID to the student lounge at Big Bend and check out some great new books, DVDS and periodicals.
Edible Book Contest
The LCAD Library is sponsoring its first ever Edible Book Contest! Prizes in the form of gift cards to Amazon and Trader Joe's will be awarded in the following categories: Grand Prize, Best Student Entry, Best Faculty Entry, and Best Staff Entry. All entries must be turned in to the library on the morning of Monday, April 23rd, between 10-11:30am. Judging (based on visual criteria as well as taste) and a display of the entries will take place within the hour, the winners will be announced at 12:30pm, and then everyone will then get to eat the edible books submitted to the contest.
Tuesday, April 17th -- April is National Poetry Month, and along with the LCAD student poetry club the library will co-host a poetry slamfrom 4-5pm. Never been to a poetry slam before? Come and join us to find out how it works!
Thursday, April 19th -- COLORientation III returns to the library from 2-5pm. Join faculty member Xun Chi and his Composition and Color students for an engaging afternoon of conversations and ideas about color.
Book Talk and Signing
Tuesday, April 24th -- Join us as at 4pm as we host illustrator, author, animator and former LCAD faculty member Kim Dwinellfor a book talk and signing of her graphic novel, Surfside Girls (published by Top Shelf Comix).
Used Book Sale
The school year would not be complete without the library's used book sale! Join us on Monday, April 30th and Tuesday, May 1st to find some great texts to add to your personal book collection.
