In the art world’s recent past, time-honored skills frequently were overlooked in favor of fashionable uniformity. More recently, there’s been an important shift, and Laguna College of Art + Design’s (LCAD) MFA programs in Drawing and Painting are at the forefront, nurturing personal expression and promoting timeless skills to create enduring meaningful art.

LCAD Gallery 805 is pleased to announce The Next Wave: New Masters of Fine Art, an exhibition that will feature works by students, candidates, and recent graduates of LCAD’s MFA programs in Drawing and Painting.

Laguna College of Art + Design

Laguna College of Art and Design’s BFA program in Graphic Design + Digital Media is proud to present Miscellany, an exhibition showcasing a wide range of works by the talented designer and director GMUNK.

As its name suggests, Miscellany will feature a broad variety of works, from GMUNK’s legendary infrared photography from places like Iceland and Alaska to a projection mapped sculptural display window. The exhibition also includes GMUNK’s optical experiments in geometric prints and a custom projection mapped and computer numerical controlled (CNC) milled sculpture completed in collaboration with longtime friends Phil Reyneri from Lightform and Peter Clark from callmeclark.com.

Laguna College of Art and Design’s (LCAD) BFA program in Fine Arts is proud to present the 2017 BFA Fine Arts Exhibition, a group exhibition highlighting representational paintings, drawings and sculptures produced by our senior class. The exhibition offers a selection of work developed as part of LCAD’s BFA program in Fine Arts senior thesis project. The mission of the senior thesis project is to help guide seniors to create a cohesive body of work that reflects a balance of individual conceptual growth and academic knowledge of the figure, still life, landscape and interior. Exhibiting Senior Students: Micaela Aguirre, Danielle Cansino, Shannon Fody, Kimberly Frassett, Alice Gamez, Spencer Koch, Gordon Paitimusa, Taylor Phillips, Justin Tecson and Nina Ulett. Curated by Chair of Fine Arts, Hope Railey and Fine Arts adjunct faculty, Kenny Harris
