Since acquiring the two acre parcel on Laguna Canyon Road that houses our main campus at 2222, LCAD has grown to become one of the leading art and design colleges in America and the only fully accredited school of its kind south of Los Angeles. To accommodate this growth and success, LCAD's facilities needs have evolved and expanded.
Contributions to The LCAD Building Fund assist the college in acquiring, enhancing, and renovating its main campus and satellite facilities.
Typically, contributions to the Building Fund are used to fund one project at a time. Past examples of vital improvements made possible by generous contributions to the fund include the purchase of two acres on the south side of the campus that is now the main parking area for students; the purchase of the two-story structure opposite the campus that houses LCAD's MFA Program and studios; the expansion and renovation of the college's Dennis & Leslie Power Library on main campus.
Most recently, generous contributors provided the funding needed for the purchase of a three-acre parcel directly across from the college's main campus on Laguna Canyon Road and the transformation of one of the existing buildings on the site into Senior Studios.
