High School and all College Transcripts
Submit an official transcript from your high school that shows proof of graduation or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED). If you submit an in-progress transcript, you will have to submit Official Final Transcripts once you have completed your course(s) of study. Your high school(s) and college(s)must send official, sealed transcripts directly to LCAD’s Office of Admissions.
If you already have earned a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college, you need only to submit transcripts from the college from which you graduated. (Please declare this to your Admissions Counselor when you apply.)
Your essays should be 300-500 words and come presented in a professional format. Please include your name at the top of the essay.
Choose one of the following essay prompts:
- Describe the first time you heard about LCAD. Include two things that we offer that you believe will be most beneficial for you.
- Tell us why you feel LCAD is a better fit for you over another college that you were considering. Be sure to refer to specific institutes for comparison.
Please visit Portfolio Information for portfolio submission details and guidelines.
You also may submit SAT/ACT test scores and letters of recommendation—preferably from art instructor(s).
